Sounding Bodies
This workshop develops the artist's skill in using text, sound and noise in creative and performance practices. By attempting to confront one's comfort level with public speaking in a safe and richly improvisational environment, the participants interrogate formalized texts, improvisational score work, and nonsensical modes of sounding. Through this process the artist becomes more confident in hearing the sound of her/his own voice, its power, and its ability to convey meaning, information and atmosphere.
This workshop is a precursor to the Confessions, Secrets and Memories Workshop.
Workshop length: 3 hours to 1 week
