Janessa offers in-person and virtual residency packages for university dance and theater programs, individual artists, dance companies, galleries, and museums. Residency activities may include technique classes, workshops, mentorship, lectures, public engagement, repertory, filmmaking and new work creation. Janessa is skilled in creating live, proscenium-based works, site-specific projects, installations, and screendance films.

Projects may last one week up to a full semester. Commissions begin at 3-minute pieces up to evening-length works. Janessa works with a small group of collaborators including composers, visual artists, cinematographers, and repertory assistants who may also be available depending on the scope of the project.

For activities outside of New York City travel, accommodations, and per diem are required.
